Spontaneous Combustion
Started in 2011 as a guerilla event, Spotaneous Combustion is today an independent association producing performance projects in urban spaces.
Recent projects have included a walking tool mobile app, devised in collaboration between five artists (2014), two residencies at arebyte gallery in 2014 adn 2013, and a yearly festival happening in various spaces around the city.
The festival normally features a two-day programme of performances happening in outdoor and indoor locations.
Some of our previous locations were a hair salon, a boat, a canal side, a gym, a book distribution depot, a car park, a residential warehouse.
The festival operates in association both with art and cultural instutions, commercial businesses, community groups.
